Expanding Corridors with Country
Expanding Corridors with Country
Today housing developments cover the majority of the area surrounding the Cranbourne Botanic Gardens, effectively isolating it and its wildlife - primarily the Southern Brown Bandicoot.
This multi-dwelling design combats issues such as the urban heat island effect, helps to reconnect wildlife corridors where they have been severed and provides housing where it is desperately needed.
This design asks how can we work with ecology rather than against it, taking inspiration from and reflecting Country.
